Abstract:
Detergent auxiliary composition includes a surface deposition enhancing cationic polymer adsorbed onto a water-insoluble solid support component. A water-soluble and/or water dispersible encapsulating material encapsulates part(s) of a liquid or liquefiable active component, the water-insoluble solid support component and the surface deposition enhancing cationic polymer. Detergent auxiliary composition comprises a liquid or liquefiable active component; a water-insoluble solid support component, a water-soluble and/or water-dispersible encapsulating material; optionally adjunct component(s); and a surface deposition enhancing cationic polymer. The surface deposition enhancing cationic polymer is adsorbed onto the water-insoluble solid support component. The water-soluble and/or water dispersible encapsulating material encapsulates part(s) of the liquid or liquefiable active component, the water-insoluble solid support component and the surface deposition enhancing cationic polymer. The composition is in particulate form. Independent claims are also included for: (1) method of making the above composition comprising contacting a water-insoluble solid support component with a liquid or liquefiable active component to form a first mixture, contacting the first mixture with a surface deposition enhancing cationic polymer to form a second mixture, contacting the second mixture with a water-soluble and/or water-dispersible encapsulating material to form the composition, and optionally drying the composition; (2) use of cationic polymer having molecular weight of 1X10 5>-1X10 7>1 Da and average degree of cationic substitution of 1-70%, to enhance the deposition of a perfume onto a fabric surface; and (3) laundry detergent composition comprising a detergent auxiliary composition and optionally adjunct component(s).
