Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a composition for preparing an optical functional layer capable of forming a planar film having a superior ability to be laminated with other layers; an optical film containing the composition; and a liquid crystal display. [Solution] A composition for preparing an optical functional layer that contains a liquid crystal compound and a copolymer, said copolymer including structural units corresponding to a fluoroaliphatic group-containing monomer represented by general formula I, and structural units corresponding to a monomer represented by general formula II. In general formulas I and II: R1, R10 and R3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a C1-20 alkyl group; R2 represents a C1-20 alkyl group in which at least one carbon atom has a fluorine atom as a substituent; and L represents a divalent linking group constituted by at least one group selected from the group consisting of –O–, –(C=O)O–, –O(C=O)–, a divalent chain group and a divalent aliphatic cyclic group.
