To provide a compost leach suited for growing plants, especially, organically grown plants, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a plant growth promoting material containing the same.
A material to be fermented based on wood and food leavings is first composted by biodegradation using fermentative microorganisms based on at least one species of microorganisms belonging to the genus Bacillus. This step is referred to as the primary fermentation step. The compost obtained in the primary fermentation step is subjected to the secondary fermentation step to effect fermentation and aging. The leach which is leached from the compost in the course of the secondary fermentation step is collected in a fermentation container and is aerobically fermented therein to ferment and refine the compost leach. The step of fermenting and refining the compost leach is referred to as the tertiary fermentation step.
