Abstract:

To provide a buckle capable of bearing under very high stress onto a locking member when it is applied.

The buckle is provided with a metallic male part 20 which can be fitted to a strap, an insertion plate with two flat surfaces and a female part 30 for housing the male part 20. The female part 30 is provided with a metallic locking main body 33 which can be fitted to the strap, the insertion plate of the male part and at least two locking leg part which can be locked to be removed. The male part 20 is inserted between two locking leg parts engaged with this plate on the opposed surface of the plate. A plastic housing surrounds at least a part of the main body 33. The housing has a flexible arm capable of releasing the metallic main body 33 from the male part 20 by opening the locking leg part. In order to form a compound buckle suitable for various usages, this buckle is provided with both of the strength of a metallic buckle and the light weight and beauty of a plastic buckle.
