Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a novel tert-amino-group-contg. aminocrotonic ester which is useful as a polyurethane catalyst free of damage, odor emission, etc., due to sunlight, heat, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This compd. is represented by formula I [wherein m is 0-7 and n is 1-8 provided m+n is 1-8; Q is a residue formed by removing OH from an (m+n)-hydric alcohol having a mol.wt. of about 32-6,000; Y is a divalent 2-6C aliph. hydrocarbon group; and R1 and R2 are each alkyl provided they may combine with each other to form, together with N or an (alkyl-substd.) heteroatom, a satd. heterocycle] and is produced by condensing a compd. of formula II with a compd. of formula III. The condensation is usually conducted at about 20-120°C, and the amt. of compd. of formula III reacted is such that the amt. of the prim-amino group of compd. of formula III is about 0.8-1.0 mol based on 1 mol of compd. of formula II.
