Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the compound eye type image display device which can display a mixed image of a panoramic image whose horizontal view angle is wide or a stereoscopic image or a two-dimensional image and a three- dimensional image.
CONSTITUTION: The device is constituted by providing an image indicator 8 of each for the left and the right eyes for displaying image information, an optical system containing an optical element 4 for enlarging the image information and forming it as a virtual image in front of an observer, and a virtual image moving means 5 for moving at least one of virtual images for the left and the right eyes in the horizontal direction.
