Abstract:
The unit (1) is assembled of two spindle heads (3,4) positioned axially opposite each other, the tool holding device (5) between the two components (3,4), a third, vertically positioned spindle (6), and a tool exchange mechanism (7) located at one side. The cutting point of the tool in use is determined in order to be located on a line drawn through the central axes of the two first spindle heads (3,4). The tool holding unit (5) does not exceed from the front of the assembly (1) when the second spindle (4) is moved.
