PURPOSE: To enable the fixation to a separate highly glycosilated final product in a protein specimen during glycosylation by making a structure of 2-furoyl-4 (5) (2-furanyl)-1H-imidazole strongly similar to the center structure of a chromophoric group in a fluorescent dye.
CONSTITUTION: Many sequences such that two glucose molecules and two lysine -amino groups act mutually to form a tetra-substituted imidazole system are shown. In a route A, a compd. acts on a keto group of lysine -fructosylisine residue and subsequently cyclized with second glucose molecules. In a route B, two fructosylisines act on cyclization. The possibility of a route C is proposed by the observation on a product preserving glucose by valine until now and valine has two acted sugar residues. Both of the routes A, C wherein a fructosylisine group generates mutual action along with a separate amino group can confirm the bonding of protein to other protein already performing non- enzymatic browning.
