NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [R0, R1, R2 are H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, hydroxyl, NHY (Y is -COR7, -SO2R8: R7, R8 are H, alkyl, aryl); R3WR6 are H, halogen, alkyl; Ar is aryl].
USE: An electrophotographic photoreceptor for printing or a recording material for optical discs. It has absorption over a wide range from the visible region to the nearinfrared region.
PREPARATION: The reaction of a compound of formula II with another compound of formula III is carried out in an alcohol or a mixed solvent thereof with an aromatic hydrocarbon at 110W140°C under 130W150mmHg for 1W50hours, to obtain a compound of formula I.
