To provide a compound switch lever which has a few number of components used and in which a fog switch knob returns automatically and certainly to an OFF position by a rotating operation of a light switch knob from an ON position to an OFF position, even if the fog switch knob is in any of the plurality of ON positions.

The compound switch lever includes a light switch knob 11 which rotates in circumference direction between an OFF position and an ON position and a fog switch knob 12 which rotates in circumference direction between an OFF position and a plurality of ON positions, both arranged in mutually coaxially. The switch lever includes a moderation ring 15 which makes reciprocating movement in axial direction accompanying the rotation operation of the knob 11, a moderation piece 12a which rotates together with the knob 12 and locates the knob 12 at any of the plurality of ON positions by engaging with the moderation ring 15, and a fixed knob 14 which is coaxially interposed between both the knobs 11, 12, is made unable to rotate in circumference direction and has a taper face 14e on the inner circumference.
