To produce a compound titanium dioxide catalyst having a photocatalytic activity higher than a conventional one, to provide a production method for the compound titanium dioxide catalyst, to provide an oxidation method for an organic compound using the compound titanium dioxide catalyst and to provide a production method for an oxygen atom-containing aromatic compound using the compound titanium dioxide catalyst.
The compound titanium dioxide catalyst comprises rutile titanium oxide particles and amorphous titanium dioxide fine particles. More specifically, the amorphous titanium dioxide fine particles are dispersedly deposited on the surfaces of the rutile titanium dioxide particles and the content ratio of the amorphous titanium dioxide fine particles to the rutile titanium dioxide particles is about 0.1/100 to 70/100.
