To obtain a new compound isolated and purified from a cultured product with a specific actinomyces belonging to the genus Streptomyces, having excellent activity in calcium inflow depression, having possibility to become a calcium inflow inhibitor and useful for an anti-platelet agent, an antihypertensive agent or the like.
This new compound is expressed by formula I (wherein R1 is H, OCOCHCHCOOH or the like), e.g. a TS155-2 compound of formula II. The compound of formula I is obtained by culturing a microorganism having ability of producing the compound [e.g. TS-7155 strain deposited in the National Institute of Bioscience and Human-technology, Agency of Industrial Science and Technology, MITI as the Accession number of FERM P-17,212] to produce the compound itself and by collecting the compound. The culture of the microorganism is carried out in a culture medium containing a carbon source (e.g. Soluble starch), a nitrogen source (e.g. defatted soybean powder) and an inorganic salt (e.g. CaCO3) preferably by shaking culture. The collection of the compound is carried out by separating microorganism cells through filtration, etc., and by extracting and purifying the filtrate or the like.
