Abstract:
To provide a difluorobenzyl halide derivative useful as a production intermediate for chemicals etc., such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and liquid crystal materials, and a method for efficiently producing the difluorobenzyl halide derivative.
There is provided a compound expressed by general formula (I) (in the formula, X1 and X2 are each independently a chlorine atom, bromine atom or iodine atom; and Y1 and Y2 are each independently a hydrogen atom, fluorine atom or chlorine atom, provided that at least one of Y1 and Y2 is a fluorine atom).
