To provide a coloring material compound which can be suitably used for forming a blue pixel part of a color filter.SOLUTION: The compound is represented by the following general formula (I) (where X represents a methyl group or a halogen atom; R1-R14 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a cyano group, an optionally substituted C1-8 alkyl group, or an optionally substituted C6-12 aromatic hydrocarbon group; Bm- represents a polyoxometalate anion; m represents an integer of 1-20; and n represents an integer of 1-20, provided that n is determined so that electric charge in the formula (I) as a whole is zero).SELECTED DRAWING: None
