Abstract:
Plant treatment composition, comprises: (a) exogenous chemical (EC); (b) polyalkylene oxide surfactant or surfactants of formula (I); (c) optionally, a long chain ester or amide of formula (II); (d) optionally enough water to form a dilute aqueous dispersion ready for application to plant foliage; and in a weight/weight ratio (b)/(a) between 1:3 and 1:100 (e) optionally water and enough solid inorganic particulate colloidal material to stabilise the composition; so that the composition shows no phase separation when stored in a closed container at a temperature of 15-30 deg C over a period between one hour and 60 days. R12O(CH2CH2O)n(CHMeCH2O)mR13 (I) R14COAR15 (II) R12 = 16-22C alkyl or alkenyl; n = 10-100; m = 0-5; R13 = H or 1-4C alkyl; R14 = 5-21C hydrocarbyl; R15 = 1-14C hydrocarbyl; provided that the total number of C atoms in R14 and R15 is 11- 27; and A = O or NH.
