Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound capable of being manufactured at a low-temperature, having a high exciton binding energy, and excellent in thermal stability.SOLUTION: A compound contains cation and anion. The compound has such a structure that: the cation contains 3 or more kinds of cation; 5 mol% or more and 90 mol% or less of the cation is group 14 element cation; 5 mol% or more and 90 mol% or less of the cation is organic molecule cation A having from 3 to 20 carbon atoms; 5 mol% or more and 90 mol% or less of the cation is group 1 element cation and/or organic molecule cation B having 2 or less carbon atoms, and 3 or more and 5 or less of the sum of carbon atoms and nitrogen atoms; 30 mol% or more and 100 mol% or less of the anion is group 17 element anion; the compound is a crystal; the crystal has a laminated perovskite structure; and the layer number of an octahedron network by group 14 element cation and the anion is 2 or more and 8 or less layers in the laminated perovskite structure.SELECTED DRAWING: None
