Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressible hermetic storage container having a one-way valve disposed along an entire bottom part of the container.SOLUTION: A compressible pouch comprises: a receptacle 4 having a storage chamber 28 and a mouth in communication with the storage chamber; and an airtight closure 10 for closing the mouth. The receptacle comprises a first wall and a second wall made of thermoplastic web material; a first side seal 14 that includes first marginal portions of the first and second walls; a second side seal 16 that includes second marginal portions of the first and second walls; and a vent that extends from the first side seal to the second side seal. The vent comprises a multiplicity of collapsible channels 20, each channel comprising an air inlet 22 in fluid communication with the storage chamber; and an air outlet 26 in fluid communication with an external space of the pouch. The channels may be formed by a series of zigzag or wave-shaped heat seals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
