To provide a compression device capable of widely coping with a use form up to a large quantity of air consumption from a small quantity of air consumption, by easily setting whether the compression device is used in a single body or a plurality of compression devices are used in the connection.
This compression device A is formed for stopping operation of a compressor 1, when air pressure in a tank 4 becomes a predetermined value on the basis of a detecting result of a detecting means 5, by detecting the air pressure in the tank 4 by the detecting means 5, by storing compressed air in the tank 4, by compressing the air by the compressor 1, and is provided with a first connecting means 15 communicating the air of primary pressure by connecting the mutual tanks 4 when connected to the other compression device A, and a second connecting means 16 mutually recognizing the detecting result of the detecting means 5 of the other connected compression device A. The whole compressors 1 are stopped when any of the detecting means 5 detects that the air pressure in the tank 4 becomes the predetermined value.
