Abstract:
To suppress deterioration in durability.SOLUTION: A compression ratio variable mechanism V includes a first hydraulic chamber 168a formed between a piston and a piston rod or between the piston rod and a cross head pin 114a, a hydraulic pump P connected to the first hydraulic chamber 168a, and a pressure boosting mechanism 196 provided between the first hydraulic chamber 168a and the hydraulic pump P. By providing the pressure boosting mechanism 196, the compression ratio variable mechanism V can reduce the number of times of pressing by which a first switching mechanism 182 is pressed by a drive mechanism. Accordingly, the compression ratio variable mechanism V can suppress deterioration in the durability.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
