Abstract:
To provide a technology capable of securing strength of a joint part while suppressing blow-by or oil raise, in a compression ring disposed in a ring groove formed on a piston mounted on a cylinder of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A compression ring has an outer projection portion and an inner projection portion, the outer projection portion has a belt-shaped outer first surface kept into contact with a first groove wall and extended in a peripheral length direction, and a belt-shaped outer second surface as a surface disposed at a second groove wall side with respect to the outer first surface, and having an end edge at a radial inner side positioned at an outer side with respect to an end edge of a radial inner side of the outer first surface, and extended in the peripheral length direction. A minimum width in the radial direction, of the outer second surface is a prescribed width or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
