The plant has at least one compressor (13b,13c) with a constant revs, switched between load and load-free operating modes at a given revs via an on-off control and a compressor (13a) with a variable revs, operated by an electric motor (11a) supplied via a drive regulator (10a), e.g. an inverter, coupled in parallel to a common compressed air line, with regulation of the compressed air pressure via the compressor with the variable revs.
