PURPOSE: To improve reliability of a delivery part, by providing a rod seal, having a check function and a valve function, to be used as a delivery valve and decreasing a number of part items to simplify construction of the delivery part further eliminating any necessity for using a moving part in the delivery part.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder block 1 provides in its upper part a cylinder head 6 inserting a protrusion 6a into a cylinder chamber 5 of the cylinder block. An annular gas passage 9, communicating with said cylinder chamber 5, is formed between said protrusion 6a and the cylinder block 1. Said gas passage 9 arranges a rod seal 10 of V-type or U-type section made of rubber, coated with fluorine-contained resin, or the fluorine-contained resin. And said rod seal 10 is constituted so as to be actuated as a delivery valve having a check function and a valve function.
