Abstract:
To improve wear resistance under alternate refrigerant using conditions and also to improve durability.
The silicon content of an aluminum alloy is regulated to a value exceeding the eutectic point (12.6wt.%) and, preferably, not higher than 18wt.% in respect of hardness. Further, in respect of machining, primary-crystal silicon grains are distributed preferably at a level of grain size of 10-40μm without segregation. Good results are obtained from the pin disk type test. This material is applicable to Oldham's ring, scroll, swing roller, vane, etc.
