In a compressor for refrigeration cycle device using a compound which is not solvable with a coolant each other, whose specific gravity is larger than the coolant, as a refrigerator oil, the form at the inner side of the bottom of a shell 11 is made in a conical form or a recessed form, in order to position the estimated lowermost position where the border surface between the liquid phases of the coolant 52 51 and the refrigerator oil 52 stagnated in the condition separating in two layers at the bottom of the shell 11 is lower than the position of an oil suction port.
