To provide a compressor with a transmission achieving lower manufacturing cost and less noises.
A transmission mechanism 30 for the compressor is a planetary roller mechanism which has a sun roller 14, a driving planetary roller 32a, a driven planetary roller 32b, a driving carrier 90a, a driven carrier 90b, and a ring roller 33. The driving carrier 90a is rotatable integrally with an input shaft 1, and the driven carrier 90b is turnable relative to the input shaft 1 and changeable to be angled to the driving carrier 90a. A compression spring 93 is provided between the driving carrier 90a and the driven carrier 90b. The compression spring 93 biases the driving carrier 90a and the driven carrier 90b to be angled so that the reaction of the ring roller 33 gets to a maximum when torque to be transmitted is increased.
