To provide a scroll compressor allowing downsizing of a body casing and high in performance.
The compressor includes the body casing with a suction port 8 and a discharge port 9, a compression mechanism part 4 disposed in the body casing and an electric motor part 5 driving the compression mechanism part, wherein a refrigerant compressed by the compression mechanism part is discharged from the discharge port via the electric motor part. The electric motor part includes a stator 5a, a rotor 5b and a caulking pin 29 caulk-fixing an electromagnetic steel plate of the stator or the rotor, and the caulking pin 29 is made hollow to serve as a refrigerant passage running from the compression mechanism part 4 to the discharge port 9, thereby eliminating necessity to configure a gas passage between a stator 5a outer peripheral part and the body casing to allow downsizing of the body casing. Since the wide gas passage can be ensured, an input into the compressor can be reduced to provide the high-performance scroll compressor.
