Abstract:

To provide a compressor configured to achieve high efficiency of a motor part thereof, improvement in volumetric efficiency thereof, and low oil circulation therein.

A compressor has an oil separation mechanism unit 40 for separating oil from refrigerant gas to be discharged from a compression mechanism unit 10. The oil separation mechanism unit 40 includes a cylindrical space 41 for swirling refrigerant gas, a flow-in section 42 in which refrigerant gas discharged from the compression mechanism unit 10 flows into the cylindrical space 41, a feed-out port 43 from which refrigerant gas with the oil being separated therefrom is fed into one container inner space 31 from the cylindrical space 41, and a discharge port 44 for discharging the separated oil and a part of refrigerant gas into the other container inner space 32 from the cylindrical space 41. A cutout part 12a is provided in an outer periphery of a frame of the compression mechanism unit including a fixed scroll at the position opposite to the discharge port 44. By separating oil from the mixture of oil and refrigerant gas discharged from the discharge port 44, the high efficiency of a motor part 20, improvement in the volumetric efficiency, and the low oil circulation are achieved.
