Title:
COMPRESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3801332
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent infiltration of lubricating oil in a space into a bearing, and to prevent the degradation of grease in the bearing by arranging a pressure equalizing hole to communicate the space between the bearing to journal an outside end part of a driving shaft and a shaft seal to seal a clearance between the driving shaft and a housing by being arranged on the inside, with the atmosphere. SOLUTION: At operating time of a scroll compressor, a low pressure gas refrigerant sucked in a suction chamber 28 and lubricating oil in unit state contained in this, enter a space 38 by passing through a seal clearance of a shaft seal 35. At stopping time of the compressor, the gas refrigerant becomes a liquid refrigerant in the space 38 by being liquefied, and stays together with the lubricating oil. When operation of the compressor is resumed in this condition, the liquid refrigerant in the space 38 evaporates by a temperature rise in a bearing 8, and tends to increase pressure in the space 38, but since a pressure equalizing hole 40 to communicate with the atmosphere is formed in an upper part of the space 38, infiltration of the lubricating oil into the bearing 8 is checked by restraining a pressure increase in the space 38 by blowing off refrigerant vapor in the atmosphere through the pressure equalizing hole 40.
