PURPOSE: To secure smooth operation with lubricant penetrating into a gap by providing the gap for connecting sections among a connecting rod both ends of which are formed with spherical bodies, a piston and a piston support.
CONSTITUTION: After a connecting rod 5 which has the surfaces of steel balls 6 at its both ends coated with a thin film excellent in lubricity, is installed in a compressor, the compressor is rotated for the specified numbers of revolution, and the thin film 11 coated over the surface of each steel ball 6 is peeled off so as to be removed by friction force owing to the rotation so that a gap 12 equivalent to the thickness of the thin film 11 is thereby formed between each steel ball 6 and the recessed surface if a piston support 4. In this case, the gap 12 is filled with lubricant, and smooth operation is thereby secured.
