A solenoid 10 is fixed in a housing 2 of a computer game controller and a permanent magnet 11 is held by a silicone rubber tube 12 such that the magnet 11 can oscillate. Depending on the polarity of the bipolar pulse current output from a solenoid drive circuit, the permanent magnet 11 repeats attraction toward and repulsion against the solenoid 10. The reaction of the permanent magnet 11 causes the housing 2 to vibrate, resulting in vibration transmitted to the hand of the player.
