To provide a computer remote-managing method having a higher security level than a conventional remote-managing method in which it is unnecessary for a managed computer to open a port number for accepting a demand from a managing computer in the case that the managing computer remotely manages the managed computer connected to a communication line and it becomes unnecessary to transmit and receive authenticated information such as a pass word in the case of remote-operation.

The managing computer receives instruction waiting information for requesting the transmission of instruction information as a request for a POST method (hereinafter called "first request") from the managed computer, transmits the instruction information for instruction to transmit a specified monitoring item as a response of the POST method for the first request to the managed computer, and receives the monitoring information including the specified monitoring item as a request for the POST method (hereinafter called "second request") from the managed computer.
