Abstract:

To shorten a starting time of multimedia reproduction to improve the use efficiency of a computer system in the computer system capable of reproducing multimedia.

A second OS 15 that is low in system resource consumption and a first OS 10 are installed in the computer system. A computer system user issues a remote signal by an input unit 20 to trigger a first extensible firmware interface 30, and drives hardware equipment 50 necessary to be combined when executing a multimedia reproduction system 40. Thereafter, if determined that the remote signal is a signal for triggering the multimedia reproduction system 40, the second OS 15 and the multimedia reproduction system 40 are executed, and if determined that the remote signal is a signal not to trigger the multimedia reproduction system 40, a second extensible firmware interface 35 is triggered to drive the entire hardware equipment of the computer system.
