To accurately, quickly and safely fit a concave cross section strip to an edge of a plate-like part without requiring working skill even in the case where the edge of the plate-like part is curved or it is difficult to visually confirm.
This fitting device 10 is provided with a main body 18 having a passage 16 of the concave cross section strip 12, a fitting roller 20 provided in the main body 18 freely to turn around an axis crossing the concave cross section strip 12 feeding direction along the passage 16 and provided with an annular pressing groove 36 for receiving the concave cross section strip 12 from a back surface thereof along the peripheral surface thereof, a support roller 22 turnably provided in the main body 18 and having a peripheral surface substantially opposite to the peripheral surface of the fitting roller 20 to pinch an article having a plate-like part 14 in cooperation with the fitting roller 20, and a strip guide 24 provided in the passage 16 to guide the concave cross section strip 12 toward the fitting roller 20, while enlarging a pair of arm pieces 12a of the strip 12, with the operation for feeding the concave cross section strip 12 along the passage 16.
