Title:
CONCENTRATION OF SALT WATER BY CERAMIC MATERIAL AND CONCENTRATE OF SALT WATER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3219187
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract, for example, a bittern component consisting essentially of magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) from salt water such as sea water.
SOLUTION: A porous ceramic ball 2a having continuous pores is contained in a vessel 1 and sea water 3 is charged in the vessel 1 to dip the ceramic ball 2a. Then, when a hot air is blown to the sea water 3 or the ceramic ball 2a to evaporate a water content, the water content permeating into the porous inside of the ceramic balls is evaporated to crystallize a crystal consisting essentially of sodium chloride inside the ceramic balls 2a and a crystal consisting essentially of magnesium sulfate on the surface of the ceramic balls 2a. Only the crystal component consisting essentially of magnesium sulfate is extracted by being dissolved or stripped off.
