Abstract:
To provide a concrete pile with double steel pipes, a design method for the same, the usage of and a pile foundation including the same, the concrete pile with double steel pipes improved in toughness compared to conventional ones when axial force acts thereon.SOLUTION: The concrete pile with double steel pipes includes a hollow, cylindrical outer steel pipe, a hollow, cylindrical inner steel pipe disposed inside the outer steel pipe, and a cylindrical concrete part that is disposed between the outer steel pipe and the inner steel pipe in contact with the outer steel pipe, and that is formed of concrete. A limit axial force is set in the concrete pile with double steel pipes. A relationship is satisfied that is shown in the following formula: tsi≥0.02×Dsi, where the outer diameter of the inner steel pipe is Dsi and the thickness of the inner steel pipe is tsi. The limit axial force is set based on one or more of the yield strength of the outer steel pipe, the yield strength of the inner steel pipe and the yield strength of the concrete part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 27
