A pile 1 includes a front end pile 11, and a connection pile 12. The front end pile 11 has an outer peripheral face 11a and a stepped bottom face 11b which are both spirally and diametrically contracted toward the front end. The outer peripheral face 11a is parallel to the axial direction, and the stepped bottom face 11b is vertical to the outer peripheral face 11a. Thus, the vertical load applied to the pile 1 is supported by the spirally continuous stepped bottom face 11b vertical to the axial direction.
