Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a biosensor having selective detection system, composed of a biochemical substance and a polymer, having high functional stability and producible by a technologically simple process at a reasonable cost.
CONSTITUTION: The objective biosensor is produced by coating a carrier with a polyether having photosetting epoxy functional group, crosslinking the polyether to a polymer matrix by treatment with high-energy radiation and treating the produced coating film with an aqueous solution of a biochemical substance (enzyme). The biochemical substance is immobilized and stabilized in the polymer matrix by the reaction with the epoxy group.
