Title:
CONCRETE SHEET PILE WITH DRAIN HOLE AND EARTH-RETAINING METHOD PREVENTING LANDSLIDE BY USE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10114939
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve the workability, by providing a plurality of drain holes and a support means detachably fixing a preventive steel plate against jamming of the drain holes.

A plurality of drain holes 2 widened to the outflow direction of water are formed at the upper part than the longitudinal middle of a steel encased reinforced concrete sheet pile body 1 provided with a plurality of hanging holes 3 near the upper end projections 5 and recesses 6 to connect the sheet pipes, a support means 7 of a steel plate, and a steel plate 8 are provided and when necessary, a filter preventing from jamming is inserted in the recess 4 near the drain hole 2. When a road is constructed at a mountain foot for instance, the sheet pile is driven while hoisting it by a crane and the jamming of the drain hole 2 is prevented by the steel plate 8 on driving the sheet pole. The steel plate 8 is appropriately removed after it has been driven. Then, the foot of the mountain is cut off to expose the the drain hole 2. Water is drained from the drain hole 2 to a drain ditch made so as to contact the sheet pile after construction of the road. In this way, the sheet pile can be easily, securely and costlessly driven and also easily produced.
