PURPOSE: To greatly reduce an amount of concrete to be used by arranging a condenser in line with an exhaust port in a turbine and forming the enclosure of the concrete so as to contain a volume in which a single assembly is formed together with a concrete foundation.
CONSTITUTION: A turbine 1 having an axial exhaust port 2 forming part of a stator 3 is placed on a foundation 4 via concrete supports 23, 33. A condenser 5 having a parallel hexahedron concrete enclosure 6 is arranged in line with an exhaust port 2 in the turbine 1. The front wall 8 of the enclosure 6 is formed in a truncated conical shape and a circular flange 9 is formed at the front end thereof, where a flange 10 at the rear side of the exhaust port 2 is fixed on the side of the turbine 1. An opening 13 is formed in the side wall of the enclosure 6, where a bunch of pipes are arranged to circulate cooling water. A concrete support 17 is provided on the rear wall 16 to support a heater 18 and a heat shield 19 is provided on the concrete wall inside the condenser.
