Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for reducing exchange frequency of an ion-exchange resin by decomposing pro-oxidant being present in a condensate, and elongating life of the ion-exchange resin in the condensate demineralization apparatus in a nuclear power plant.SOLUTION: The condensate demineralization method and apparatus for a nuclear power plant include: causing condensate to pass through a condensate demineralization apparatus 6 of the nuclear power plant that is filled with an ion exchange resin layer formed by mixing a metal-supported resin within a range of 2% to 50% in terms of a volume ratio, with respect to a mixed bed of the ion-exchange resin, at a passing-water linear flow rate from 20 m/h to 200 m/h; decomposing pro-oxidant included in the condensate; and removing impurities by the ion-exchange resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
