Abstract:

To provide a condensate demineralizer system which achieves the long-term and stable obtention of a high-purity quality of treated water that has a low sulfate ion content deriving from organic impurities eluted from cation exchange resin.

In the condensate demineralizer system which gives demineralization treatment to condensate in a nuclear power generation plant by using an ion exchange resin includes a demineralizer housing the ion exchange resin which gives condensate demineralization treatment, the ion exchange resin contains anion exchange resin and cation exchange resin. In the anion exchange resin, when a water solution containing polystyrene sulfonate whose molecular weight is 4,000 or less is allowed to flow at a flow rate in a range of 90 to 122 m/h on a flow line through a column with a layer of the anion exchange resin that is 10 cm high, the removal rate of polystyrene sulfonate contained in the water solution is 50% or higher.
