Abstract:
To provide a fused polycyclic organic pigment having excellent dispersibility and dispersion stability, and more specifically to provide a fused polycyclic organic pigment having realized a viscosity which imparts practically sufficient printability to an ink in terms of both (1) an initial viscosity of an ink and (2) a viscosity of the ink over time, when it is used in printing ink applications.SOLUTION: In order to find a fused polycyclic organic pigment exhibiting excellent fluidity, a plurality of components in a printing ink have been studied intensively. As a result, it has been found that the above problems can be solved by modifying the surface of pigment particles and adjusting the specific contact angles of water and organic solvent, and adjusting the concentration of oxygen element on the surface of pigment particles to a specific value.SELECTED DRAWING: None
