Abstract:

To provide a compact and economical condenser start-up method that can prevent the unstableness of flow and the trembling of water surface, that can shorten the required time to obtain a dissolved oxygen concentration at which water supply for a demanded place is possible, and that dose not require much space having a simple construction.

There are provided a condenser body 22 having a bank of tubes 24 which condenses the turbine exhaust steam of a steam turbine plant, a hot well 25 which stores condensed water, a reflux system 32 which takes out the water from this hot well to reflux it to a different place in the condenser body, a vacuum exhaust system which exhausts the gas in the condenser body, and a steam injection pipe 27 with a steam nozzle which injects the steam led from the exterior into the stored water 26. The diameter of each steam nozzle is 5 mm or smaller, and the adjacent steam nozzles which are arranged at an interval of 40 mm or longer from each other constitutes one group. One or more of these groups are arranged in the stored water at an roughly equal interval of 1000 mm or longer and 1500 mm or shorter. The number of nozzles N in the one group is within ±20% of the number which is obtained by N = 0.02 (pieces/mm) × water level (mm) according to the water level of the stored water.
