Title:
CONDENSER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5852982
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to heat and deair feed water without using steam from a different source to thereby save energy by a method wherein the spaces defined by both sides of a bundle of pipes and the inner wall surfaces of the shell plate of the title condenser are divided partially by partition plates, respectively, to thereby provide heating and deairing spaces and the feed water is introduced into the spaces.

CONSTITUTION: A couple of water supply pipes 17 each having spray nozzles or holes 18 are drawn into the condenser up to positions just before the vertical partition plates 13, respectively. Further, under the water supply pipes 17, filler materials 19 are fixed within the condenser by fixing means 20, respectively. With the above structure, water supplied through the pipes 17 is sprayed from the spray nozzles 18, passes through the filler materials 19 and falls down to drain. On the other hand, a part of a turbine exhaust gas 5 which flows downward within the condenser moves up from the clearances below the lower sides of the partition plates 13 (when the plates 13 are so installed) to thereby deair the water. Likewise, when there are clearances above and below the upper and lower sides of the plates 13, the gas 15 is drawn into the spaces between the plates 13 and the shell plate 2 of the condenser through the clearances to thereby deair the water.
