To provide a condition monitoring device and an abnormality detection system that can be easily and continuously operated even under low-light conditions, without the need for battery replacement, etc.SOLUTION: A condition monitoring device 1 includes a photovoltaic cell module 2, a sensor 3 driven by the electric power generated by the photovoltaic module 2, and a communication device 4 that transmits data from the sensor 3. The amount of power generated by the photovoltaic module 2 is 3μW/cm2 or more under the illuminance condition of 50lx.
