To provide a refrigerator/air conditioner capable of bypassing an appropriate amount of liquid refrigerant and suppressing an increase of a discharge temperature while suppressing an opening/closing frequency of a solenoid valve as much as possible, and making a liquid bypass circuit simple in configuration and low in cost.
A refrigerator/air conditioner 1 in which a liquid bypass circuit 8 provided with a solenoid valve 9 is provided between a high-pressure liquid line 6B of a refrigeration cycle 7 and a suction line 6C to a compressor 2, includes control means 11 for opening/closing the solenoid valve 9 on the basis of a detected temperature of a discharge temperature sensor 10 provided on a discharge line 6A from the compressor 2, and for changing a set temperature Tclose for closing the solenoid valve 9 depending on time since previous solenoid valve opening/closing.
