CONSTITUTION: At least a bit is formed with the powder of a ceramic consisting of zirconia containing a specific mol% of yttria and alumina at a weight ratio of 20/80W95/5, which is formed into a desired shape by means of die spray, etc., and sintered at approx. 1300W1500°C. A ceramic thus obtained is ground and polished with a diamond grinding wheel, etc. and finished into defined dimensions and surface roughness to obtain a conducting electric wire cutter. This conducting electric wire cutter is excellent in strength, hardness, life, etc., without causing electrification trouble.
