On each of other end sides of paired rotary shafts 3 having screw parts 9 in a mutual occlusion state, an agitation portion 10 for agitating a raw material without transferring it in an axial direction is provided adjacently to the screw part 9, a discharge port 5 of a casing 1 is opened at a position facing the agitation portion 10 of each of the rotary shafts 3 on both left and right sides of the casing 1, and a weir plate 12 position-adjustable in a vertical direction without interfering with the rotary shaft 3 or the inner surface of the casing 1 is provided on the opening 5a of each discharge port 5. Solids exceeding the weir plate 12 can be discharged successively while urging drying of the raw material in the agitation portion 10, and by position-adjusting the weir plate 12 in the vertical direction and changing the height thereof, the retention time and the retention amount inside the casing 1 of the raw material can be easily adjusted.
