Abstract:

To provide a conductive belt having a conductivity in an intermediate resistance region and used as a transfer belt or the like with extremely small variations of volume resistivity and its manufacturing method using an unvolcanized rubber composition where conductive particles such as carbon blacks are dispersed in rubber, and its manufacturing method.

A belt body is produced by cylindrically extruding the unvolcanized rubber composition formed by mixing and kneading the conductive particles, a vulcanizing agent, or the like with base polymer and then vulcanizing, polishing and finishing it. Bleed contamination does not occur, the volume resistivity is 106-1011 Ωcm, dispersion thereof in one belt is single digit or less, variations of the outer peripheral length in one belt is within 1.0 mm, and variations of the thickness is within 0.05 mm.
