Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject conjugate fiber having excellent antistatic property and useful for clothes, etc., which comprises a mixture of a polyester, a polyamide, and carbon black being located on the phase interface between the polyester and the polyamide.
CONSTITUTION: The objective conjugate fiber comprising a mixture of a polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate, a polyamide such as nylon 6, and a carbon black such as furnace black, which is mainly located on the phase interface between the polyester and the polyamide and added thereto in an amount of preferably 5-20wt.%. The cross-sectional area ratio of the polyester to the polyamide in the conjugate fiber is preferably 30/70 to 70/30.
